Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Narrow Web Flexographic Press Operator to join our team. As a Narrow Web Flexographic Press Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of narrow web flexographic printing presses used in our production facility. Your attention to detail and expertise in press operation will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality printing output and meeting production deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare the narrow web flexographic printing press for production runs, including installing print cylinders, adjusting tension controls, and aligning print plates.
Load and position the substrate material (such as paper, film, or labels) onto the press, ensuring proper alignment and tension for accurate printing.
Mix and prepare ink formulations according to job specifications and color requirements.
Operate the narrow web flexographic press, monitoring and adjusting printing parameters such as speed, pressure, temperature, and registration to achieve desired print quality.
Conduct regular quality checks throughout the production run to ensure consistent print quality and color accuracy.
Make necessary adjustments to the press settings, such as print pressure, ink viscosity, and registration, to resolve any printing issues or defects.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on the press, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues or malfunctions that may arise during the printing process, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with other team members, such as designers, prepress operators, and finishing personnel, to ensure seamless workflow and efficient production.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Narrow Web Flexographic Press Operator.
Strong technical knowledge of narrow web flexographic printing presses, including setup, operation, and maintenance procedures.
Proficient in color matching and ink mixing.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain precise print registration.
Familiarity with different substrates, inks, and coatings commonly used in narrow web flexographic printing.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow them rigorously.
